Causes of Shoulder Pain We Treat:

Rotator Cuff Injury

The rotator cuff is a group of 4 muscles that are responsible for stabilizing the shoulder joint.  With constant use of the shoulder, these muscles tend to get overused and can sustain injury. Activities such as tennis, golf and weightlifting make the shoulder muscles susceptible to adhesion. Adhesion of the rotator cuff muscles will make the shoulder weaker and less flexible, which can lead to pain and degeneration.

Labrum/Muscle Tears

With pre-existing tears in the shoulder labrum or rotator cuff muscles, it is very important to locate the adhesion, and stabilize and strengthen the shoulder joint. Restoring motion in the shoulder can slow down degeneration and reduce pain. In many cases, it may delay or prevent the need for surgery.

Shoulder Bursitis

Shoulder Bursitis, or inflammation of the Bursa, a fluid-filled sac that provides a cushion for the shoulder joint, is a classic indicator of overuse of the muscles that attach to the shoulder. Most often, Shoulder Bursitis is due to adhesion in the rotator cuff muscles.

Shoulder Impingement

Shoulder Impingement occurs when the rotator cuff tendons become irritated. Most often, the reason the rotator cuff tendons become irritated is that they are overused. Then, inflexibility occurs due to adhesion in the rotator cuff muscles.
