What to expect:

Initial Visit lasts 45-60 Minutes. During your first visit, you can expect the following:

Two men examining a human spine model in a room with a muscular system chart on the wall.

A Full Exam

Your initial exam is focused on understanding your pain and how it affects your daily life. You will review your health history, past injuries, and goals, then move through a hands-on evaluation that looks at posture, movement, joint function, muscle strength, and nerve response. If imaging is needed, existing X-rays or other studies are reviewed to support the findings. You will receive a clear explanation of what is causing your symptoms and how it connects to the way your body moves. Before you leave, you will understand the recommended plan of care, what treatments may be used, and what progress should look like so you know exactly what to expect moving forward.

Report of Findings

After your exam, we will do a report of findings. During this visit, you review the exam results in clear, simple terms so you understand what is causing your symptoms and why they continue. You learn how the findings relate to your movement, daily activities, and pain patterns. Your doctor outlines the recommended plan of care, including the type of treatment, visit frequency, and expected milestones. You also discuss timelines, costs, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions. This visit gives you a clear path forward and sets expectations for progress before care begins.

Review of Individualized Treatment Plan

We will cover how we plan to ease the pain you're feeling and help you to feel your best in the shortest time possible.

After the initial appointment, follow-up visits are 10-15 minutes. The goal of any treatment is to get you back functioning as well as possible without pain and limitation. You may be given specific guidelines that will be expected to follow to ensure the best outcome.

What to Wear?

Please come with workout clothing. Treatment is most effective without restricted clothing. For example, if you have a shoulder complaint, please wear a tank top. If you have pain from the lower back or below, wear running shorts.
